Established in 1928, Ildia is a historical brand in Italian food industry for large caterings and restaurants: today, just like always, a high quality help in every kitchen task. In 2015 Ildia joined Alfafood S.r.l.: two different paths came together, a ninety years long presence among Italian food industry leaders met international food ingredients and spices trading.

Ildia reply is an update of its selections to present-day needs and tastes, an expansion of its product line with particular emphasis on food allergies and intolerancies, combined with a raw-materials selection among the best growers from all over the world; and with the inclusion of new lines like Spices, Seeds and Fine Herbs, and the starting of a whole new and rapidly growing “Bio” stock preparation formulas line, Ildia opened its doors to new areas of large food-service market.

1928

Ildia was first established: its original plant in via Pisacane, Milan, was designed for production and retail of spices and food ingredients throughout the city.

The first relocation: war has left its mark on the plant in via Pisacane, yet Ildia stayed in Milan, moving its business office and equipment into the new factory in via Dell’Aprica

1951

The first revolution: Jollybroth, the first dehydrated stock preparation formula to appear on the Italian market, was born, immediately achieving a huge success.

The firm's focus started shifting from retail to large food services.

1967

The second, great revolution: Ildia began the production of Ildiacip. With Jollybroth and pudding preparation formulas, Ildiacip is still one of the brand’s most distinctive products.

1988

By then, the factory in via dell’Aprica was too small for the firm's growth: Ildia remained in Milan, but moved to the larger and more modern plant in Via Bonomi.

1989

Fish products from Chile, Thailand and Canada were included in Ildia's product line, enlarging the firm's offer with new selections.

2006

In order to answer to a further growth of the brand, Ildia left Milan and moved to the bigger and better equipped factory in via Fratelli Cervi, Rho.

The third great revolution: Ildia entered Alfafood holding, starting an unprecedented renovation in both product lines and recipes, for the cuisine of the new millennium.
